As the research partner to Hang Seng Indexes, RepuTex is pleased to announce that the 2011 research process to support Hang Seng Indexes’ Corporate Sustainability Index has begun.

RepuTex is pleased to announce that the research process to support the review of Hang Seng Indexes’ Corporate Sustainability Index Series for 2011 has commenced.

The Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index Series covers listed companies in Hong Kong and mainland China that perform well with regard to sustainability, which encompasses environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.

As part of the 2011 Index review process, Hang Seng Index Company has presented RepuTex with a revised cohort of listed companies for appraisal against RepuTex’s international ESG Rating Model.  RepuTex will make contact with companies and undertake assessments from April to July 2011 as part of the annual exercise to determine the constituents of the Index Series.

All companies within the cohort are provided with the opportunity to offer feedback to RepuTex to optimise their chances of being selected for the Index prior to RepuTex’s assignment of a final ESG Rating.  The feedback and verification review process will be available to all companies until the close of business on Friday 27th May, 2011.

Following the final assignment of ESG Ratings by RepuTex, Hang Seng Indexes will use the information and other information subject to the index design, to determine those companies that qualify for inclusion in the Index Series.  The list of constituents will be announced in September 2011.
