Our latest Carbon Weekly report reviews activity in the Australian and international carbon markets for the period September 2 – September 6 2024.
The Australian Carbon Market saw another surge in trading activity last week, with total volumes across both spot and forward markets reaching their highest weekly levels since January 2023, led by a year-to-date high in options trades, and continued demand for Human-Induced Regeneration (HIR) ACCUs. This momentum has seen Generic ACCU prices find a new support level above $35/t, also flowing through to our HIR ACCU assessment, while our HIR ACCUs Project Specific assessment tightened.
RepuTex’s Carbon Weekly report analyses recent activity in the Australian and international voluntary carbon markets, including our ACCU spot price assessments, method spreads, forward activity, traded volumes, and key market developments. Analysis considers the Australian market along with international registries including Verra, Gold Standard, the American Carbon Registry, and the Climate Action Reserve.
