Our latest Carbon Weekly report has now been published, reviewing activity in the Australian and international carbon markets for the period September 23 – September 27 2024.
The Australian carbon market saw momentum return last week with traded volumes rising, driven by both spot and derivatives activity. Derivative volumes, particularly options, continued to grow as the market matures, while Generic No-Avoided Deforestation ACCUs remained the leading source of liquidity in the spot market. Greater price volatility was observed for both Generic ACCUs and HIR ACCUs, with pricing showing strong support above new key levels, while HIR sellers look to a key price level.
RepuTex’s Carbon Weekly report analyses recent activity in the Australian and international voluntary carbon markets, including our ACCU spot price assessments, method spreads, forward activity, traded volumes, and key market developments.
