Our latest Carbon Weekly report has now been published, reviewing activity in the Australian and international carbon markets for the period 26 Feb – 1 Mar 2024.
Prices and activity dipped across the ACCU market this week after a relatively consistent month of trading. The brokered market continues to focus on cheapest to deliver avoidance projects, with Generic (No-AD) continuing its recent dominance of weekly activity. Declines in Generic (No-AD) pricing outpaced Human-Induced Regeneration (HIR) compressing the Generic/HIR further from last week. Meanwhile, the landscape remained quiet across more illiquid methods as developers await further issuances.
RepuTex’s Carbon Weekly report analyses recent activity in the Australian and international voluntary carbon markets, including our ACCU spot price assessment by method, spreads, forward activity, traded volumes, and key market developments. Analysis considers the Australian market along with international registries including Verra, Gold Standard, the American Carbon Registry, and the Climate Action Reserve.
