The ACCU market saw a revival in activity to end November, with the month marking a 10-month high in brokered volumes, second only to the record high in January 2023 following the release of the Safeguard Mechanism policy position paper. Brokered ACCU prices broadly rose over the week on more consistent trading activity from compliance entities, and large voluntary cancellations, with increases to Generic ACCUs excluding Avoided Deforestation outpacing other methods.
