Dear subscriber,
We have published the following updates to our RepuTex Connect platform:
RepuTex 2030 Energy & Climate Policy (ECP) Tool updates
The following updates have been made to our 2030 ECP Tool:
- Government emissions projections – The government’s latest emissions projection (December 2016) can now be applied as a reference baseline for policy analysis, with the functionality of the ECP tool (i.e. view underlying assumptions, scale up emissions target, customise policy settings and manipulate trajectory, view implied emissions baselines under safeguard scheme, energy sector balance, etc.).
- Vehicle efficiency policy settings – Updates have been made to account for new “vehicle efficiency” policy settings outlined by the government. Users are able to select from six policy actions, including the government’s announced A-C target range and higher ambition cuts beyond 95 gCO2/km, reflecting targeted rates of improvement in other markets
BAU: 148 grams of carbon dioxide per km (gCO2-e/km);
Target C: 135 gCO2/km (government)
Target B: 119 gCO2/km (government)
Target A: 105 gCO2/km (government)
Target AA: 91 gCO2/km
Target AAA: 76 gCO2/km
