Lack of buying interest during the holiday week, Generic No-AD activity picking up

At 235,000 units traded, overall volume in the brokered Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) market hovered slightly above the four-month low of 200,000 recorded in mid May-23. These light volumes have persisted for the last 2 weeks, aligning with school holidays in Australia and the Mid-Autumn festival in key Asian markets.

Generic ACCUs (low-cost emissions avoidance projects) saw the majority of their weekly brokered volume traded on Monday (125,000 out of a total 135,000 units) with prices marginally increasing to $30.85/t-$31/t before slipping on Tuesday to $30.5/t in only 10,000 units.

Broker two ways saw Bids and Offers for Generics at $30.25/t – $31.5/t respectively on Monday
