Release of Decarbonisation Investment Tracker database

Following the recent publication of our semi-annual Australian Decarbonisation Investment Review, underlying datasets are now available to subscribers via our Decarbonisation Investment Tracker on EnergyIQ, providing access to project-level investment database underpinning the report.

The Decarbonisation Investment Tracker maps large-scale decarbonisation investment across 8 technology groups, 26 sectors, and 36 activities – including Electrified Resources, Green Manufacturing, Clean Transport, Heavy Industry, On-site Electricity, CCS and Hydrogen – spanning over 200 projects.

Available datasets within the database include:

  • Project-level committed investment data by stage (announcement, pre-FID, FID, operational, operational, discontinued)
  • Mapping of each project by region, sector and technology
  • Mapping of each project to Safeguard Mechanism covered entity.
  • Underlying project detail by technology maturity level, funding source and type (e.g. public or private), committed investment and total potential investment
  • Annual greenhouse gas abatement potential by project
  • Coverage across 8 technology groups, 26 sectors and 30+ activity pathways
