Australia’s new mandatory climate reporting regime commenced in January 2025, bringing climate scenario analysis into the financial reporting cycle for Australia’s largest companies. Yet for Australian businesses, a key data gap remains. While IEA and IPCC scenarios provide detailed global emissions pathways, they provide little guidance on how those global and regional pathways translate into Australian carbon prices or domestic policy risk.
To address this gap, RepuTex has today published its inaugural Australian Climate Scenarios Outlook (CSO), modelling Australia-specific carbon price scenarios to 2050 under a series of 1.5°C and 3°C climate pathways.
