RepuTex has launched a new daily Safeguard Mechanism Credit (SMC) spot price assessment, effective from Thursday, 27th February 2025.
This assessment is quoted as a differential for the most competitive SMC units relative to the RepuTex Generic ACCUs (Market Close) assessment, providing a clear and trusted benchmark for SMC pricing relative to the broader ACCU market.
Our SMC spot price assessment is now available to subscribers of our Australian Carbon Intelligence service via our EnergyIQ platform.
Users can find the daily SMC spot price data by navigating to the EnergyIQ Dashboard and our Price Assessments pages, displaying the derived SMC price and assessed differential. A historic time series is available under the Spot prices page. Users can also view daily SMC traded volumes within the same Spot prices page.
This new SMC spot assessment complements our established suite of over 50 ACCU price assessments, expanding the depth of market intelligence available to users.
