UPDATE: ACCU prices continue their rise with recent highs for HIR re-tested

Our latest Carbon Weekly report has now been published, reviewing activity in the Australian and international carbon markets for the period 22 – 25 January 2024.

Light volumes saw ACCU prices lift last week, with HIR units again testing recent highs at $38/t. With bullish momentum and the extended Australian summer holiday period coming to an end, eyes now turn to how sellers engage at these higher levels, and how quickly compliance entities begin to execute their compliance purchasing strategies.

RepuTex’s Carbon Weekly report analyses recent activity in the Australian and international voluntary carbon markets, including our ACCU spot price assessment by method, spreads, forward activity, traded volumes, and key market developments. Analysis considers the Australian market along with international registries including Verra, Gold Standard, the American Carbon Registry, and the Climate Action Reserve.
