Spread between HIR-Generic units tightens but remains wide

The ACCU market saw a slight uptick in activity compared to the previous week, but volumes were still down on recent levels, with spot prices generally trading higher.

Generic ACCUs (low-cost avoidance) traded at $27.75/t early in the week, down slightly on the previous week’s close of $28.00/t, before trading up $1.25 to end the week at $29/t (up 3.5%). Total Generic volumes for the week were 60,000, with a further 89,000 No Avoided Deforestation (AD) Generics trading (total 149,000), opening at $28.00/t and rising 4.5% to $29.25/t on Friday.
